Sustainability

Our planet has limited resources and we all have the power to change the world by being conscious of what, when and how we buy.

We may be a small business but we want to grow organically and sustainably, preferring to offer a thoughtfully curated collection of timeless wardrobe essentials.

We don't believe in buying an entirely new outfit for every outing or latest trend, and we don't believe in sending garments to landfill.

So instead, we embrace simplicity and offer versatile pieces where lasting design and quality are paramount, to ensure your investment will transcend seasons and stand the test of time.

"Clothes could have more meaning and longevity if we think less about owning the latest or cheapest thing and develop more of a relationship with the things we wear."

— Elizabeth L. Cline

By focusing on natural, organic fibres derived from plants and animals, we rely heavily on the generosity of nature and we want to ensure that the world that provides for us now is able to do the same for future generations.

The use of natural fibres ensures our collections are of the highest quality, can be worn and loved for many years and will biodegrade if they are eventually disposed of or recycled.

Where we can, we avoid man-made fibres but, for some garments, these fibres improve the quality and durability (= less waste, in theory) and, if from recycled sources, give a second life to discarded textiles or plastics, and divert them away from landfills or our oceans.

"Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better."

— Maya Angelou

The sustainability journey is one of on-going improvement and continuous education.

From innovative and ethical textile sourcing to using packaging with less impact, we're always learning and striving for positive change.

We know that no one is perfect and that we can't transform our business and the world overnight but, together, with a simple desire to do better and make more consistent, mindful choices, we can reduce our environmental footprint and tread more lightly on the earth.
